Welcoming new master’s students from Aalborg University

OptikosPrime is partnering with Aalborg University to host five master’s students in Computer Vision. Under the guidance of postdoc Anders Skaarup Johansen, they’ll help advance our work on synthetic data and strengthen our academic collaborations.

We’re pleased to announce a new partnership with Aalborg University that introduces five talented master’s students into our R&D team. All five are from the Department of Architecture, Design, and Media Technology and specialise in Computer Vision. Under the supervision of Postdoc Anders Skaarup Johansen, they will collaborate closely with us to tackle some of the most challenging problems in vision science.

This collaboration enhances our research into synthetic data, a research direction we started at OptikosPrime and continue to develop through our partnership with NTNU. By welcoming students from Aalborg University, we increase both our capacity and perspective, blending academic rigour with the fast-paced problem-solving characteristic of a startup.

At OptikosPrime, deep ties to leading academic institutions are crucial in solving the most challenging problems in eye-care technology. These partnerships provide us with access not only to new talent but also to innovative approaches and methodologies that enrich our research. With Aalborg University now joining our circle of collaborators, we are building an even stronger foundation for innovation in Computer Vision.

We look forward to working with these students and to seeing the impact of their contributions as we push the boundaries of what is possible in AI-driven eye care.
