At OptikosPrime, we are strong supporters of GDPR and the
upcoming EU AI Act, and we’re committed to secure and ethical
data handling. We take privacy regulations seriously and respect
individuals’ data and rights.
Data policy
We collect only the bare minimum of data necessary for eyesight-related purposes. All data is securely stored and processed within the EU, under the ownership of EU-based companies. Rest assured, we never share your data with third parties or unsafe countries.
We comply with GDPR rights, which include:
- The right to be informed
- The right to rectification,
- The right of access,
- The right to be forgotten (erasure),
- The right to restrict data processing,
- The right to data portability, and
- The right to object.
The ai act
At OptikosPrime, we are very happy with the upcoming EU AI Act; and through the European standardisation organisations (CEN-CEBELC), we work closely with the standardisation effort to support the AI Act. We believe that most of the requirements set up by the AI Act are identical to good craftsmanship; which we should do irrespective of regulations. We strive to follow the requirements for high risk AI-systems (paraphrased):
